Jaylen Wells is dealing with significant injuries as a result of his nasty fall on Tuesday night.

Wells was up-ended after going up for a dunk attempt late in the second quarter of his Memphis Grizzlies’ game against the Sacramento Kings. He landed on his head and ended up being taken off the court on a stretcher.

We learned on Wednesday that Wells had suffered a broken wrist. On Friday, we learned that Wells had also suffered a concussion and facial laceration.

The Grizzlies entered Friday 47-33 and only had two games left on their regular season schedule at the time of Wells’ injuries. He is expected to miss the rest of the season, regardless of how far the Grizzlies may go in the playoffs.

Wells, who was a rookie second-round pick, averaged 10.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game this season. The Grizzlies entered Friday in a three-way tie for the sixth spot in the West.
