The Golden State Warriors are yet to make an addition to their roster ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.
The Golden State Warriors were on the brink of missing the Play-In Tournament last season. However, the Jimmy Butler trade improved the Warriors’ record.
But even with Butler on the roster, the Dubs failed to get past the Minnesota Timberwolves during the 2025 playoffs.
Evidently, the expectations from the Dubs were to add multiple talented players to their roster ahead of the 2025-26 season. Surprisingly, the Warriors haven’t made even a single addition to the team.
The Warriors’ stalemate with Jonathan Kuminga over a new contract remains the biggest headline for Dub Nation.
The Warriors have remained silent in the offseason due to their consistent failure to resolve the Kuminga saga. Once again, the Dubs are unable to make a move to acquire Malcolm Brogdon until the Kuminga situation is resolved.
“We won’t know if the Warriors emerge with more serious interest in Brogdon until the state of their roster and luxury tax bill becomes clear in the wake of a resolution to Kuminga’s fate and the subsequent signings that have been long anticipated,” Jake Fischer reported on The Stein Line.
Being a former Rookie of the Year and Sixth Man of the Year, Brogdon could be a solid addition to the Warriors’ roster.
He last played for the Washington Wizards, averaging 12.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game for the team.
With the Warriors currently in a complicated situation, other NBA teams are sure to take advantage of it.
This remains true even in Brogdon’s case, as the 32-year-old has received interest from the New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves, too.
“I’m told Brogdon has also been on the radar for both the Knicks and the Timberwolves,” Fischer added in his report.
It will be interesting to see if the Dubs can finally sign a free agent or if they will lose another target due to the Kuminga saga.
