Golden State Warriors Make Big Announcement on Wednesday

The Golden State Warriors have proven they are as relevant as ever. Their dynasty is ready to die just quite yet.

After trading for Jimmy Butler at the deadline, bringing him in as the co-star alongside franchise superstar Stephen Curry, the Warriors looked like a legitimate title contender.

If it hadn't been for a Curry injury in the second round, the Warriors could very well be alive in the postseason right now.

Regardless, Golden State remains a high-quality team, with Curry leading the way at 36-years-old.

Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. is facing a daunting task of ensuring the squad's ability to compete next season with a string of proper roster moves this offseason.

The team's needs seem quite clear: floor spacing and a proper big man could turn the tide for the club.

The offseason in the NBA is quite an event on an annual basis. Roster movement, the NBA Draft, Summer League and more headline a busy summer in the league.

On Wednesday, the Warriors made an announcement regarding the NBA offseason. For a seventh year, the Warriors will be hosting a Summer League field in the Bay Area.

"The Golden State Warriors will host the seventh annual California Classic Summer League, presented by CarMax, at Chase Center on July 5, 6 and 8, featuring three days of game play between the Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs," the Warriors announced. "It marks the third time California Classic games will be played at Chase Center, which will host the entirety of the event this year."

It's worth noting these games are played at a faster pace than normal -- as the teams will play 10-minute quarters.

While fans will be able to enjoy an experience at Chase Center this summer, the front office will actively be scouting the event, aiming to find contributors for the 2025-26 NBA Season.
