Steph Curry is one of the most recognizable athletes in the world. The Golden State Warriors guard has four NBA championships to his name, along with the unique distinction of being the only unanimous MVP in the league's history.
Curry's league-changing shooting ability revolutionized modern basketball, making him an icon to aspiring hoopers around the world. While Curry is one of the most popular NBA players in America, his popularity in China is just as strong.
The 36-year-old guard has taken his Curry Camp to Chongqing, China, making it the first Asian edition of the camp. The Chinese fans were thrilled to see Curry, serenading him with MVP chants as he walked out onto the court.

China is one of the biggest basketball markets outside the USA, with the country known for its love for the sport. As a result, the Chinese pulled out all the stops when it came to welcoming Curry, putting on a light show that replicates one of Curry's iconic 3-point makes.

Curry's excitement for the trip was evident before he even took off, hyping up his arrival in China.
"Counting down the hours until I touchdown in China," he posted on X. "These tours have been something I loved since the earlier days in my career. My fan base in China is like no other and I can’t wait to share all the Curry Brand activations we have lined up this year."

This is the first time Curry Camp has been held outside the United States. The residents of Chongqing can also experience the first-ever Curry Con, the Curry Brand's first basketball culture convention. This is the final event of Curry's world tour, which started in San Francisco earlier this month.
Franchise superstar Curry hasn't seen much activity from the Warriors ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season. The Warriors' roster has not seen any additions so far this summer, a major concern given we're already halfway through August.
The franchise has been linked to veteran big man Al Horford since the start of free agency, but it seems the uncertain contract status of restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga has held the franchise up.
A resolution might shake the roster up, especially if the team finds a suitable sign-and-trade deal for their disgruntled forward.
Nonetheless, Curry, who averaged 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.0 assists last season, will be waiting for more competitive pieces around him, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green.
