Goran Dragic shone bright during the Miami Heat’s thrilling 2019-20 NBA season. He played a pivotal role in their journey to the Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers. Unfortunately, disaster struck in Game 1 when he suffered a plantar tear in his left foot. This injury sidelined him for Games 2 through 5. He recently opened up about this challenging moment on his podcast, sharing insights that fans won’t want to miss.

“We play against Indy…I start to feel my heel…I had a pain in my heel every morning…every game was worse and worse…they knew it was a plantar fasciitis…they told me it was a 10-15% chance it was going to snap and I said ‘oh I’m good with that — I got a 75-80%’…I only played 5 minutes of the first game of the Finals and it popped. I remember the play — I was driving by Rondo and I just hear a pop and asked him ‘did you kick me?’ I was like what is going on…” Dragic said.

Despite the pain, Dragic fought to return for Game 6 of the NBA Finals series against the Lakers. However, he was unable to lead the Heat to victory, and the Lakers won the series in six games.
