The Miami Heat have finally fixed up the infamous statue of Dwyane Wade that went viral upon its unveiling two years ago.
On Friday, the Heat unveiled what they called “enhancements” to Wade’s statue outside Kaseya Center in Miami. It really just amounts to a full facelift, in which the face on Wade’s likeness has been completely overhauled to look more like him.

Credit to the Heat for a job well done. The statue actually looks like Wade now as opposed to the bizarre look it had before, which spawned an avalanche of memes upon its unveiling in 2024.
The improved look is no coincidence, as the original sculptors actually worked with Wade’s approval to rework the statue.
The direct face-to-face comparison clearly shows how much of an enormous overhaul the statue underwent. Wade clearly won’t have to face any slander over that thing anymore.
