The Indiana Pacers have kept their season alive after forcing a Game 7 in the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Thanks to the team effort by the Pacers, they had a 108-91 victory . Tyrese Haliburton, who was questionable before the contest, played 22 minutes and had 14 points, five assists and two steals, while playing through a right calf strain.
Aside from Haliburton, five other players scored in double digits. Obi Toppin, who came off the bench, had the most points with 20, and shot 57.1 percent from deep. Pascal Siakam had 16 points, 13 rebounds and three assists. Andrew Nembhard also had a great scoring performance with 17 points, four assists and three steals on 71.4 percent shooting from the field.
However, the player with the most significant contribution was veteran guard T.J. McConnell. The 6-foot-1 guard had 12 points, nine rebounds, six assists and four steals off the bench. His play on both ends helped the Pacers have the upper hand and increase their lead up to 31.
Following the game, Haliburton was asked about how impactful McConnell has been for them throughout the postseason, especially in the NBA Finals.
“He’s unbelievable,” Haliburton said. “I don’t even have the words. He’s the great white hope, that’s what we call him. He’s just amazing, continues to get down, help the pressue on the defense… he’s unbelievable.”

The team was determined not to let the Thunder have their fun at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
“We just wanted to protect [our] homecourt, we didn’t want to see these guys celebrate a championship in our home floor. Backs against the wall and we just responded. So many different guys chipped in. It’s all a team effort, [I’m] really proud of this group,” he added.
Game 7 will be on Sunday at the Paycom Center.
With their season on the line, Haliburton did not allow his injury to prevent him from making important contributions to the Indiana Pacers. After the Game 6 win, Obi Toppin shared that the team knew the All-Star guard was going to come out strong and aggressive to help the team win.
“Right away, before the game even started, he was locked in and walked through before the game and we knew he was going to go out there and give 110, all he can until he can,” Toppin said. “He did amazing today, he kept the train going and led us to a victory.”

Both teams are one win away from the Larry O’Brien trophy and need everyone to stay ready and locked in.
