Jahmir Young drops 40, leads Bulls over Bucks

The Chicago Bulls may have found a needle in a haystack. Jahmir Young, who will be entering his sophomore season with the Bulls next season, went off for 40 points in Chicago’s latest Summer League game.

Young went undrafted in 2024 and played for the Denver Nuggets in the Summer League. After signing with the Nuggets in July, he found himself waived in October before the season started.

This led to Young joining the Grand Rapids Gold of the NBA G League. Young played in the G League until February 19, 2025, when he signed a two-way contract with the Bulls.

Young only appeared in six games with the Bulls and scored just 11 total points, for an average of 1.8 points per game. But tonight in the Summer League, against the Milwaukee Bucks, Young went off.

Young dropped 40 points on 13-18 shooting. This includes 7-8 from beyond the arc, as the Bulls defeated the Bucks 102-96.
