Jaylen Brown Makes Giannis Antetokounmpo Admission

Although their journeys were different, Brown and Antetokounmpo are both fiery competitors who are now two of the best players in the NBA. In a November contest, Antetokounmpo faked a handshake with Brown, leading to the Celtics star calling him a "child" after the game.

"Giannis is a child," Brown told reporters. "I’m just focused on helping my team get a win. And that’s what we did tonight."

Speaking with NBC Sports Boston, Brown admitted this moment had his mild mannered teammate Luke Kornet very upset.

"[Antetokounmpo] tried to hit me with the fake [handshake afterward]," Brown recalled. "Luke came to me, and this is the first time I'd seen him be serious. He said 'I didn't like that...I should've done something.' I was like 'What were you gonna do, Luke?'"

Brown added, "He was like 'I should've done something, I was right there. I contemplated it, and I thought about it, and I did nothing. But I should've done something.'"

Although Kornet didn't stand up to Antetokounmpo, he still morally supported Brown following the interaction.
