Last season, superstar Jimmy Butler made headlines following a very public fallout with the Miami Heat. The result? Butler demanded a trade from the Heat.

After weeks of drama, including multiple fines and suspensions, Butler was ultimately granted his request to begin a new chapter in his career.

Butler was traded to the Golden State Warriors as part of a massive five-team deal.

Golden State Warriors’ 2024-25 regular season record with Jimmy Butler

On February 06, 2025, Butler was traded to the Warriors. At the time, the Dubs were struggling in the loaded Western Conference.

After all, the Warriors had an underwhelming 25-26 record before trading for Jimmy and were on the verge of missing the Play-In Tournament.

According to data provided by Sofascore, Butler’s arrival transformed the Warriors. In the 30 games that he played during the regular season, the Dubs went through a sensational run as they finished with a 23-7 record.

Butler averaged 17.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game during that 30-game stretch while also shooting a solid 47.6% from the field.

Thanks to a late-season run, the Dubs managed to clinch the seventh seed in the West. They confirmed their place in the postseason following a Play-In tournament win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Despite being the lower seed, the Warriors outplayed the Houston Rockets in the opening round. However, the Warriors’ journey came to an end in the conference semifinals vs the Minnesota Timberwolves.

So how did Butler fare in his first playoff run with the Warriors? Well, he averaged 19.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game.

While Butler’s numbers went up, his efficiency took a hit as he shot 44.7% from the field. The Warriors went 4-7 in the 11 games he played in during the postseason.
