When Red Auerbach retired from coaching he named Bill Russell as the Celtics next head coach. Russell was still playing as well and led Boston to an NBA championship in 1969 at the young age of 35 years old. No coach has led his team to the NBA Finals at that young of an age until Joe Mazzulla just compoleted the sweep of the Pacers last night. Mazzulla, who is also 35 years old, deserves credit for what he has accomplished this year.
