Kendrick Perkins says Nikola Jokic is the only other center ‘capable’ of a dominant performance against the Dallas Mavericks front line

The way Wembanyama was able to impose his will against Davis, who is one of the best defenders in the game, was a scary sight.

The Mavericks frontcourt is supposed to be one of the best defensive units in all of the NBA with Davis and Dereck Lively II anchoring the middle, but they could not slow down the wrath of Wembanyama.

Kendrick Perkins was one of many people who were impressed by Wembanyama’s sheer brilliance, that he named Nikola Jokic as the only other center who could do what he just did against the Mavericks.

“He also was going at Dereck Lively [as well as Anthony Davis].

“I don’t see any other big in the league, maybe Jokic, that’s capable of putting up a performance against that Dallas Mavericks front line.

“The biggest thing that stood out to me was Wemby wants to win. It’s more than highlights.”
