When Kevin Durant first joined the NBA, it appeared that he might only play for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Then, in 2016, he left in free agency to join the mighty Golden State Warriors.

It then appeared that there was no way Durant would leave the Warriors. Of course, he did. After stints with the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns, Durant is now a member of the Houston Rockets.

At age 37, Durant spoke about where he’d like to finish his NBA career.

“I’m looking to be here as long as I can, play my last years of my career,” Durant said. “That’s the intent. I know I said that about Phoenix, too, but that’s the intent. I would love to do that. I mean, I’m 37 years old and I’m going on 19 years in the league.

“I want to be solidified in a spot and build with a team with a group of guys that’s going to be around for a while. So hopefully this is it.”

Durant will likely finish his career in Houston. Of course, a storybook ending would be to return to Oklahoma City and win an NBA title with the Thunder.
