The Sacramento Kings are coming off an electric 124-123 win over the Golden State Warriors Tuesday to stay undefeated in West Group C and move on in the In-Season Tournament. The Kings capped off their 24-point comeback with a Malik Monk game-winner, but Sacramento has a quick turn-around as they host the Los Angeles Clippers on the second leg of a back-to-back.
With the win over the Warriors, the Kings move to 10-6, sitting half a game behind first place in the Pacific Division. The Clippers have won four of their last six games, moving to 7-9 as they sit in last place in the division.
The Clippers have a chance to get back on track Wednesday night, while the Kings will attempt to defend their home court after a grueling victory the night before.
F Keegan Murray - OUT (back)
C Alex Len - OUT (ankle)
G Brandon Boston Jr. - OUT (quadriceps)
C Mason Plumlee - OUT (knee)
The Kings will be without their star sophomore Murray for the fourth consecutive game after he left last week's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans early with lower back soreness. Murray returned to practice on Tuesday but remains sidelined.
Sacramento is 2-1 without Murray, as they have inserted G Chris Duarte in the starting lineup, but Duarte has underperformed. The Kings need Murray back if they want to feel more comfortable competing against top teams, as they might struggle to keep up with Los Angeles' star power.
The Clippers have not been as impressive as expected this season, but it could take time for the newly acquired James Harden to mold next to Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Russell Westbrook.
The Clippers visit the Kings on Wednesday at 7 P.M. PT/10 P.M. ET.
