On Friday evening, the Golden State Warriors  faced off against the Memphis Grizzlies in Tennessee. 

The Warriors won the game by a score of 121-101, and five players on the team scored in double digits. 

Klay Thompson finished his night with 14 points, two rebounds and one block while shooting 6/15 from the field and 2/9 from the three-point range in 27 minutes of playing time. 

He also made NBA history by moving ahead of Richard Jefferson (14,904) for 153rd on the all-time scoring  list

Following Jefferson, the next player for Thompson to pass will be Mike Mitchell (15,016).

With the victory, the Warriors improved to 21-24 in their first 45 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Western Conference.  

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and improved to 8-11 in the 19 games they have played on the road away from the Chase Center. 

Following the victory over the Grizzlies, the Warriors will face off against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday evening at State Farm Arena in Georgia. 

Thompson is in his 11th season playing in the NBA (all with Golden State), and is currently averaging 17.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field and 38.2% from the three-point range in 43 games. 

As for the Grizzlies, they dropped to 18-31 in their first 49 games, which has them as the 13th seed in the Western Conference. 

They are in the middle of a four-game losing streak.
