The New York Knicks have gotten off to an impressive start under new head coach Mike Brown. They enter this week with an 11-6 record, energized by a dominant 129–101 road win over the Charlotte Hornets. In that game, Jalen Brunson poured in 33 points, three rebounds and two assists, while center Karl‑Anthony Towns added 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Josh Hart contributed 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
The win helped the Knicks finish their road trip strong and now shifts their focus to a second-meeting showdown this season against the Milwaukee Bucks (8-11) at Madison Square Garden.
As the Knicks prepare for Friday’s final group-stage game in the NBA Cup, Hart was dealt some unfortunate news off the court.
On Thursday, a new report noted that Hart was robbed of $185,000 worth of watches and jewelry from his hotel room at The Dominick Hotel in SoHo.
According to police, Hart left his duffle bag in the room around 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 5; when he returned about an hour later, the case containing three watches and a bracelet was missing. No arrests have been made and police have released no suspect description (h/t Breaking911).

Hart has not publicly commented on the theft as of writing. With investigation ongoing, he now must try to also remain focused on the court – especially as the Knicks need a win against the Bucks to advance past the NBA Cup Group stage.
This season Hart is playing a key role for the Knicks, averaging 10.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.8 assists, while offering valuable versatility on both ends. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm ET, with live coverage on Prime Video.
