NBA players earn a lot of money for their play. The NBA is the best basketball league in the world, so it makes sense that the players who are deemed good enough to play in the league will earn a lot of money. But while they earn a lot of money themselves, they can even help others win a lot of money.

Basketball games are very popular among bettors. Not only do bettors make wagers over the result of NBA games, but there are also several prop bets, such as most points, most rebounds, first and last scorers of the game, and more. While these bets are tough to predict, one better came heartbreakingly close to winning a huge amount.

In December, the Mavericks played against the Kings. One fan had made several prop bets, including one that had Kristaps Porzingis making the first bucket of the game. All the other prop bets were good, but Porzingis missed an easy layup, which meant the bettor lost out $76,000.

But now, it appears Porzingis has seemingly apologized to the fan with a special gesture. Kristaps Porzingis sent the bettor a jersey with a message that apologized for missing the layup that would eventually result in the fan losing out on $76,000. It was a nice gesture from Porzingis.

The bettor also responded on the thread, stating that it was all good between the two, and he appreciated the gesture from Porzingis of sending a signed jersey. The jersey is a special gift, one that will make losing out on $76,000 a lot easier to accept for the bettor.

"Joe, sorry about blowing the layup and costing you $76k."

Porzingis has quietly been having a decent season this year. Unlike previous seasons, he hasn't struggled nearly as much with injuries. And he has become a reliable player for the Dallas Mavericks, alongside Luka Doncic. The Mavericks will be hoping for more improvement from their duo so that they can become a dark horse in the West.

Porzingis has incredible potential, a big man with elite shooting. This is why many fans have dubbed him a unicorn. Mavericks fans will be hoping that he can live up to his incredible potential, as the core of him and Luka Doncic can help the Mavericks become NBA champions.
