When a team really performs well, the opponents, too, cannot help but admire the stellar play. Fortunately, the New York Knicks have found themselves in such a situation. Currently, Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving is nursing an ACL injury. And with trade rumors circulating around the Mavericks star, Irving is in a spot of bother. Yet, following the Knicks’ incredible run, the 34-year-old took time out to address the surge.

At the moment, New York is already in the NBA finals. Riding on the back of some exquisite performances from Jalen Brunson and co., the Knicks downed the Cleveland Cavaliers with a 0-4 clean sweep. Reflecting on the same, Irving had a strong message to deliver.

“The Knicks making the Finals is OD.. Knicks fans gonna go bonkers man. Its gonna be one of those ones…They done made it to the NBA Finals, done earned their ticket…l’m excited to watch them too…..Mike Brown leading the helm, Jalen Brunson great PG… great pieces around him,” said Irving.

Surely, Brunson has done a lot to command respect. Back in 2022, when the Knicks signed the 29-year-old star, the reception did not look favorable. In fact, people doubted his abilities of steering the team towards a championship run. Now, emerging as the mainstay of clean sweeping the Cavaliers, the star player has earned his respect.

Meanwhile, as the Knicks are one step away from glory, Irving, too, had some good news about his injury.

Kyrie Irving Delivers Good News About His ACL Injury

Irving injuring his cruciate ligament was not good news for the Mavericks’ fans. As the team’s primary star besides Cooper Flagg, the fans wanted him to reach 100% fitness soon. Thankfully, all the Dallas fans were treated to some good news.

During a Twitch stream, the 2012 NBA Rookie of the Year stated, “We’re getting closer to 100 percent. And I’m really grateful that you’ve given me enough time to recover.”

Well, with Jason Kidd now gone, Dallas will experience a major shakeup. Now, fans will watch closely to see how much of a role Kyrie Irving plays in helping the franchise reestablish itself as a powerhouse.
