The NBA is set to make its triumphant return to NBC this fall, and the network’s broadcast team is shaping up to be nothing short of star-studded. Fans rightfully expect top-tier commentary with heavyweights like Mike Tirico, Carmelo Anthony, Reggie Miller, and Grant Hill leading the charge. And in May, NBC announced perhaps its most exciting addition: basketball legend Michael Jordan.

Widely regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time, Jordan, a six-time NBA champion and five-time MVP, signed on as a “special contributor,” and is set to deliver analysis in pregame and halftime segments. His return marks his first on-air NBA role since retiring in 2003.

On Thursday, NBC finalized more names to round out its coverage. The six big additions include Los Angeles Lakers legend and five-time NBA champion Derek Fisher, Austin Rivers, Brian Scalabrine, Robbie Hummel, and Brad Daugherty, who now join the previously confirmed trio of Jamal Crawford, Reggie Miller, and Grant Hill.

Play-by-play veteran Michael Grady was also announced, teaming up with Mike Tirico, Noah Eagle, and Terry Gannon.

Fisher is a beloved Lakers champion, and their fans will be excited to see him back in the NBA landscape.

These additions will contribute to a robust broadcast calendar that includes up to 100 regular-season games across NBC and Peacock, beginning October 21. The lineup will also cover full playoff action in the spring.

With these fresh group of analysts bringing a mix of championship experience and professional insight, “NBA on NBC” is positioned to deliver a rich, entertaining viewing experience for fans as the league enters a new era on network television.
