Lakers Injury Report: Anthony Davis Updates His Status Vs Boston With Three Simple Words
USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Lakers will be taking on the rival Boston Celtics tonight and are hoping to pull out a surprising win. Los Angeles comes in having dropped two games in a row, and they will be looking to take another game on their long road trip.

Entering the game L.A. star big man Anthony Davis is listed as questionable, but there is some thought that he will suit up. Davis missed the Lakers last game against the Atlanta Hawks because of a sore Achilles’ and left hip spasms.

He has been surprisingly available this season, only missing three games all year. But with this matchup against Boston looming, Davis provided only three words to describe his playing status, per Broderick Turner of The Los Angeles Times.

“Oh, hell, yeah,” he said.

Davis understands what this game means for the Lakers and the longtime rivalry. He would love nothing more than to help Los Angeles pull out the victory against their rivals, and it could also bring some new life into this team.

Getting a win against the NBA-best Celtics could go a long way for the confidence level of the Lakers. It will not be easy, but the Lakers have shown the ability to hang with some of the better teams in the league this season, even with all their problems.

Boston took the first matchup of the season between the two teams back on Christmas Day, so the Lakers will be looking for some revenge. The hope is Davis can suit up, and the Lakers will be well-armed to at least have a chance against Boston.
