It's a very cool opportunity for his teammates to share some time off the court while training camp is going on. This is a unique activity that some of his teammates wouldn't normally get a chance to do.
Things like this not only help build camaraderie off the court, but they also help build trust on the court. That's ultimately what this activity is trying to add.
The Lakers are trying to make sure that the chemistry is the highest it possibly can be before the regular season starts. Doncic still doesn't know some of his teammates very well.
It's good that one of the leaders of the team, who is relatively new in town, is organizing activities like this for the entire team. That has to make the Lakers' management happy.
