Lakers' Luka Doncic Reveals How Many Times He's Watched High School Musical

The Los Angeles Lakers made the shocking decision to bring in Luka Doncic in a trade last year. It was a trade that no one could believe would actually happen because of how good he is.

Dallas decided that they wanted to move on from him, and the Lakers were the happy beneficiaries of that decision. Doncic is one of the best players in the world.

Now that Doncic has signed a contract extension, he's locked in with the Lakers. Recently, he gave an interview where he showed more of his personality.

Lakers Guard Luka Doncic Has Watched High School Musical 10-15 times

While speaking with The Wall Street Journal, Doncic talked about how many times he's watched the movie High School Musical, a Disney Channel production.

"I watched it probably 10-15 times. I like the singing. I liked the actors, so I just watched it as a kid."

Doncic clearly had this as his favorite movie when he was a kid. That's a lot of time to watch a movie, but he liked that it had basketball in it and singing. That's something he clearly loves.

As far as favorite movies go, it is surprising that Doncic has chosen this one. It might not be his favorite movie as an adult, but it clearly was when he was younger in Slovenia.

This is an interesting part of Doncic's personality for him to reveal. I'm sure that there will be fans who will make comments to him over the course of the season.

The Lakers Are Hoping to Keep Luka Doncic For Quite a While

Doncic feels comfortable enough to talk about these things because his future his now secure with the Lakers. He signed a contract extension with them in the offseason, so he doesn't have to worry about that anymore.

Los Angeles is hoping that they can keep him for the remainder of his career. He should continue to get better as the next few years go on, as well.

Once he was traded to the Lakers, he averaged 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game. He shot 43.8 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.
