The Los Angeles Lakers played their third game of the Las Vegas Summer League on Monday night and, despite falling to the Los Angeles Clippers 67–58, guard Bronny James delivered his best performance yet.

He did it in front of several Lakers teammates—including his father, LeBron James, who was in attendance alongside his wife, Savannah, and daughter, Zhuri.

Bronny finished with 17 points, five rebounds, and five assists, shooting an efficient 6-for-10 from the field and 3-for-5 from beyond the arc.

On Tuesday, LeBron posted a message to Bronny on his Instagram story, continuing to show support as his son builds momentum heading into his second NBA season.

“Keep going kid! Only you know your personal legend! @bronny,” LeBron wrote.

Bronny James was selected 55th overall by the Lakers in the 2024 NBA Draft following his freshman season, and since then, he’s faced immense pressure—not only to follow in his father’s footsteps but also to navigate the intense scrutiny that comes with being in the spotlight.

Despite that, he’s handled everything with poise and has shown steady improvement throughout the year, particularly during his stint in the G League. In 11 games with the South Bay Lakers, he averaged 21.9 points, 5.5 assists, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.9 steals.

His role with the pro team as a rookie was limited—something not uncommon for a late second-round pick—but he'll have opportunities ahead. Ultimately, he'll need to earn his way into head coach JJ Redick’s rotation.

Bronny and the Lakers, who hold a 1–2 Summer League record, will be back in action Thursday night against the Boston Celtics.
