LeBron James has been one of the faces of the NBA for over two decades now, and while it seems like he could still play at a high level for five years, all things eventually come to an end.
That's why, in the midst of all the trade rumors, his agent, Rich Paul, called out the media for the way they've handled his career.
"When LeBron James retires, they [media] will have to find a new boogeyman to hate on just to chase likes and boost ratings," Paul told SiriusXM NBA Radio.

Throughout the course of the years, multiple outlets and media personalities have benefited from James's strong pull on social media.
Skip Bayless has been his biggest and harshest critic, and his recent feud with Stephen A. Smith also turned plenty of heads.
James has rarely chosen to address his critics directly, but he's been way more outspoken over the past couple of years.
Of course, he's also enjoyed favorable coverage for years, with several prominent media figures like Nick Wright and Shannon Sharpe also calling him the greatest player of all time, and he's built a huge following on social media who feel the same way.
But at the end of the day, that's the kind of scrutiny that comes with being one of the most popular athletes of all time.
Whether people like him or not, and regardless of how anybody feels about his GOAT case, James has been a never-ending source of content for more than two decades, and the media will certainly miss him once he rides into the sunset.
