LiAngelo Ball signing one-year, non-guaranteed deal with Pistons

All three Ball brothers could play in the NBA during the 2020-21 campaign.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, LiAngelo Ball is signing a one-year, non-guaranteed deal with the Detroit Pistons

Ball is signing an exhibit 10 contract, Charania adds, which guarantees he'll have a training camp invite. If the Pistons decide to send him to their G-League affiliate, he'll receive a $50,000 bonus. Ball would then need to play for the Grand Rapids Drive for 60 days for the bonus to kick in.

The 22-year-old spent the 2019-20 season playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder's G-League affiliate, Oklahoma City Blue. Before that, he played for the Los Angeles Ballers in the Junior Basketball Association and also played in Lithuania after a short collegiate career at UCLA, where he was indefinitely suspended from the basketball program after being arrested for shoplifting in Hangzhou, China, alongside two other teammates.

Ball's brother LaMelo was just drafted third overall by the Charlotte Hornets while Lonzo currently plays for the New Orleans Pelicans after being drafted second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2017.
