Look of the Day for Wed. 5/22: Fade Mavs' Daniel Gafford vs. Wolves

We just can't catch a break in our Look of the Day series. On Tuesday night, Tyrese Haliburton went under his points prop in regulation, but overtime allowed him to go over 19.5 points and blow our winning ticket. Pain.

Let's get back on track with another under for Game 1 in the Western Conference Finals.

Look of the Day: Daniel Gafford under 14.5 points + rebounds (-122 FanDuel)

The Minnesota Timberwolves will host the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday night, and we're looking to fade Daniel Gafford in this matchup.

Gafford was able to eat against the Oklahoma City Thunder and their undersized rotation in the second round. He averaged 11 points and 7.5 rebounds in the series, but OKC was the worst team in the NBA at defending centers all season. Gafford went 25-41 (60.9 percent) from the field against the Thunder, but he won't be able to replicate that against Rudy Gobert and the Timberwolves.

Gafford has faced off against Gobert on the T-Wolves three times. He attempted only 11 total shots in those three games and averaged 7.3 points and 4.7 rebounds. The center went under 14.5 points + rebounds in all three games despite shooting 100 percent from the field in two of them.

It's going to be a rude awakening for Gafford to go from the worst interior defense in the league to the Defensive Player of the Year.
