Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James knows what it’s like to be in the NBA Finals atmosphere. Ahead of Game 6 of the best-of-seven series between the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder, James had something to say. The Thunder had a 3-2 lead in the series and could’ve had the chance to finish the Finals at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, in front of the Indiana crowd.
James hasn’t been in the Finals since 2020, but has enjoyed the current series and the entire playoffs. The Thunder is the heavy favorite, since they clinched the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference with a 68-14 record.
The Pacers, on the other hand, have been labeled as the underdog throughout the entire playoffs. However, they’ve overcome every obstacle and have found themselves in a situation where they can win their first NBA title.
On X (formerly Twitter), James posted about Game 7 of the Thunder’s series against the Denver Nuggets.
“Best 2 words in SPORTS… GAME 7!!!!!!” the four-time champion posted.

GAME 7!!!!!!

While James isn’t a prophet, he predicted the outcome of Game 6 of the NBA Finals. The Pacers had a 108-91 victory over the Thunder to keep their season alive and force a Game 7. It will be the first time a Game 7 will take place in the NBA Finals since the 2016 Finals.
Ironically, LeBron James was part of that particular series. James was with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and they faced the Golden State Warriors. James and the Cavaliers were down 3-1 when they mounted a comeback and ultimately won the NBA championship.
The Lakers’ star earned the Finals MVP, which was his third at the time. He averaged 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 8.9 assists, 2.6 steals and 2.3 blocks.
Last year, LeBron James granted the fans’ wishes by playing in the 2024 Paris Olympics. James teamed up with some of the best stars in the NBA like Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Joel Embiid. The next time the Olympics will take place will be in 2028 in Los Angeles.
There have been questions about whether James will still be active for the national team that year. In a recent interview with Tony Maglio of “The Hollywood Reporter,” the Lakers revealed that he doesn’t think he’ll play for Team USA.
“Nothing has changed. Where we at, man, 2025 right now? (Laughs) Nah, nothing has changed. I mean, if I had to look at it right now through a microscope, I would say that, me being able to support Team USA for the rest of my life — that’s for sure. But me actually going on and playing, I don’t see it happening,” James said.
During the times LeBron James represented America on the international stage at the Olympics, the team has always finished within the top three. James has three gold medals and one bronze medal in the tournament.
