It has been a whirlwind past few months for Luka Doncic. In February, the five-time All-Star suddenly saw his career take a massive and totally unexpected turn after the Dallas Mavericks decided to trade him to the Los Angeles Lakers.
After the initial shock of his landscape-shifting move, Doncic was able to ingrain himself with his new team alongside LeBron James. Doncic played a key role in L.A. finishing as the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference with a 50-32 regular-season record.
Unfortunately for the Lakers, their promising campaign was cut short after they suffered a highly disappointing first-round exit at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Standing by Doncic's side through the highs and the lows is his fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, who is the mother of their one-year-old daughter, Gabriela.
On Sunday, the Lakers took to social media to send a heartfelt Father's Day greeting to all the dads in the squad, which now also includes Doncic. The 26-year-old caught wind of the message and shared the post via his Instagram stories.

Doncic shared a photo of himself hand-in-hand with his daughter, whose face was covered by a heart emoji. The Slovenian did not add any caption to his post; instead, he let the picture speak for itself.
The Lakers will need Doncic to be at his best in 2025-26 as they look to bounce back from their disappointing campaign. He played 28 games for L.A. since his mid-season trade, averaging 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.6 steals, while also knocking down 3.6 triples per game on a 37.9% clip.
The Lakers need more of the same from their superstar point guard next season, if not more.
For his part, Doncic is now playing with a little bit more motivation, as young Gabriela cheers for Dad from home.
