Luka Doncic is doing it again, and again and again this season. The Lakers guard is leaving no stone unturned in showing that he has the potential for being the purple and gold franchise's undisputed future star.
On Sunday, Doncic once again proved his consistency in the ongoing regular season with a fantastic performance. His 35 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists powered the Los Angeles Lakers to a thumping 110-97 victory against the New York Knicks in a home game inside the Crypto.com Arena. A crowd of 18,997 witnessed his magnificent on-court skills as he led from the front despite LeBron James' absence. The latter is unavailable because of left elbow discomfort and left foot arthritis.
While King James was away, Doncic made sure to drive his team home with yet another splendid show on the hardwood this season. His 35-point performance, also included some impressive three-pointers; five to be precise. But one really stood out as Doncic nailed it being on just one leg. During the 3rd quarter, the Knicks were closing in while the score was still in favor of the Lakers at 62-56.
At this point, Doncic pulled off a stunning three-pointer to beat the buzzer. He was falling out of balance but still made it to provide his team a crucial lead.

After successfully scoring off one leg from outside the D, Doncic eventually fell in the crowd. But his outstanding effort didn't go unnoticed. During the post-game interview, he was asked about his 'magic' shot, as described by the league's official account.
In his reaction Doncic said, “That was kinda hard. But as soon as it left my hand, I had a good feeling. So those are the shots I sometimes make. Those are my shots.”
With another scintillating performance, Doncic has further strengthened his position as the leading scorer in the ongoing NBA season. He's averaging 32.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game.
Fans of the Lakers will now hope that he continues his dominant run in the next game too. On Tuesday, the team will host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
