Luka Doncic suspended one game after receiving 16th technical foul

Doncic was given the technical foul in Friday’s win over the Brooklyn Nets after getting tangled up with Nets forward Ziaire Williams.

After Doncic was called for an offensive foul, he appeared to shove Williams, who retaliated by swiping at Doncic’s face. Both players received a technical foul after video review.

Doncic will be forced to forfeit 1/174 of this season’s salary, which is around $264,000. He will also face additional one-game suspensions for every two technical fouls he receives for the rest of the regular season.

To serve the suspension, Doncic will now miss Monday’s matchup against the Washington Wizards.
