The Minnesota Timberwolves are aiming for a big 2025-26 season, and they have a real X-factor on their roster.
After reaching the Western Conference Finals two successive years, the Minnesota Timberwolves have to try and build to reach the next level.
Losing Nickeil Alexander-Walker was a blow in free agency, but the Timberwolves were able to keep Naz Reid and Julius Randle.
There is plenty of reason for the Timberwolves to be positive, especially after the addition of exciting rookie Joan Beringer in the draft.
Joan Beringer was involved in preseason as the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Denver Nuggets 126-116.
Veteran star Mike Conley spoke to Wolves Radio during the game and had positive words to say about the young Frenchman.
Conley explained: “He’s got a bright future, I think everybody in the building is excited about what he’s going to be, he’s in the right place.”
“I’m impressed by the way he contests everything. There’s no fear of getting dunked on, no embarrassment there, that’s very refreshing to see.”
Conley says Beringer and fellow rookie Rocco Zikarsky are both buying in to the Timberwolves’ determined approach ahead of the season.
“All the way down to our rookies, everybody is motivated beyond belief. You can tell by the way everybody is fighting, playing physical.”
Joan Beringer had a strong performance in the preseason, scoring the same number of points as Nikola Jokic.
Beringer and Jokic both scored 14 points for their respective teams, with the Timberwolves rookie only playing four minutes more.
The rookie also had four rebounds and one block, while Bones Hyland scored the most points, 18 in total.
Wolves GM Tim Connelly has already spoken out about his high hopes for Beringer, and he looks to be a quick learner.
