Former NBA player Lou Williams clapped back at former Milwaukee Bucks star Patrick Beverley after he called him out on X (formerly Twitter). It all started when former player Bradon Jennings made waves on social media by saying he was a better player than most of the players in his draft class. He went a step further when he said he was talented and skilled enough to win against other former players.

This led Pat Bev to take the initiative and start a 1-vs-1 tournament that would feature himself and other former basketball players. However, Jennings said that the two-way guard wouldn’t be good enough to play in the tournament since he never averaged 10 points a game.

“They say Pat Bev can’t play, quoted Brandon Jennings, said Pat Bev can’t play the 1v1 tournament because I didn’t average 10 points in the NBA,” Beverley said.

What was said about Beverley not averaging 10 points was false. Looking at his career stats, he averaged at least 10 points three times in his career. The first two happened in his second and third seasons.

Following that, Pat Bev called out Jennings and other retired NBA players and claimed that he’d outperform them in a 1-vs-1 setting.

“I’m trying to see, do they not want to play me? ‘Cause I knew, they know. Any one of them motherf***ers… Lou Williams, Jeff Teague, Brandon Jennings, Ty Lawso, every one of them motherf***ers know you get on the court with me and I’m gonna dog y’alls ass.”

The former Houston Rockets point guard amplified his challenge by tagging Williams, Jennings, Jeff Teague and Ty Lawson on X.

“In case no one heard me @TeamLou23 @Teague0 @Tuff__Crowd @TyLawson3 @PatBevPod ” Beverley posted.

The claims of Beverley caught the attention of a three-time Sixth Man of the Year. Williams clapped back on social media, saying that his first 40-point game happened against the former NBA guard.

“My first 40 ever in my career was against Pat Bet.

” Williams posted.

Looking at his career, Williams played eight games where he scored at least 40 points, according to StatMuse. The first instance happened on Jan. 8, 2016, against the Oklahoma City Thunder, a team Pat Bev never played for. Looking at the other times he scored at least 40 points, he never faced Beverley as his opponent.

During the other six times, he scored at least 40, he was teammates with the defensive point guard.
