NBA Friday props: Three-point targets

Last night was a tremendous success with our NBA betting strategy, with Saddiq Bey exploding for 51 points and 10 threes made.

That's certainly a validating example here, but it's a new day. On this Friday in the NBA, there are once again spots to target for threes.

As of this writing, some of the games of interest do not have props listed. Oklahoma City should have its opportunities from deep, so keep your eyes on shooters from there.

Indiana is conceivably in a good spot, but I don't like the volume numbers I see from anyone on this offense, so I'm staying away.

That leaves us with three targets tonight, so let's get to it.

Seth Curry

The Nets should see outside shooting tonight against a Portland defense allowing the third-most threes per game.

Not only do the Blazers let up threes in bulk, but they also have let opponents shoot the highest percentage from deep this season.

Needless to say, Portland is always a great target.

With Kyrie Irving still not allowed to play games in New York, there's a lot of shot volume up for grabs.

I like Seth Curry to capitalize. Curry has 16 attempts in his past two games and averages 6.5 attempts from deep in his last 10.

Kevin Durant is a bit too volatile with his attempts, so I'll opt for Curry's consistent role.

Keldon Johnson

Keldon Johnson has been a volume king for San Antonio, chucking up nine-plus threes in four of his last six games.

With five made in two straight games, he's got the efficiency to go along with the attempts.

Johnson finds himself in an advantageous spot this evening against New Orleans. The Pelicans are allowing the 10th-most threes per game, and their opponent's 3P% ranks 23rd.

With the volume and a good opponent, the pick is simple here.

Desmond Bane

Bane is rolling lately from three and gets himself a soft opponent to continue the run.

Atlanta lets up the ninth-most threes per game and owns a bottom-10 three-point percentage rate, suggesting that the Grizzlies make their deep shots tonight.

Bane is averaging 7.2 attempts from long range in his last five and has made three-plus threes in six of his last seven games.
