The Golden State Warriors entered Saturday’s Game 3 matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves looking to regain control of the series.

Unfortunately for Golden State, they were unable to do so as they fell to the Timberwolves 102-97 after Minnesota was able to complete a comeback in the fourth quarter thanks to an incredible performance from Julius Randle and Anthony Edwards.

Golden State now falls behind 2-1 in the series and they now face a must-win Game 4 on Monday, especially with their star point guard Stephen Curry still sidelined due to a left hamstring strain.

Of course, Golden State did see both Jimmy Butler and Jonathan Kuminga step up huge in Game 3 but they were unable to pull off a victory on their home court.

Despite the loss, Warriors star forward Draymond Green made NBA history during Saturday’s game against the Timberwolves.

The NBA announced during the game that Green had moved into 18th on the all-time playoffs steals list with 257 steals, passing Kawhi Leonard. Green now sits just one steal shy of tying Karl Malone for 17th on the all-time list.

Of course, it was a struggle in Game 3 for Green who ended the game with two points, two rebounds, four assists and two steals in 29 minutes.

Green also fouled out of the game with a little over four and a half minutes remaining after he was called for a shooting foul on a drive by Jaden McDaniels.

While Green struggled offensively on Saturday night, he did provide a spark for the Warriors on the defensive side before fouling out, though it was not enough for Golden State to hold onto their lead in the fourth quarter.

With the loss, the Warriors now enter Monday’s Game 4 in a must-win situation on their home court as they look to tie the series up at a game apiece before heading back to Minnesota for Game 5.
