Attention has turned to the Philadelphia 76ers as a legitimate championship contender since the acquisition of James Harden.
While Harden and Joel Embiid get the recognition from many, guard Tyrese Maxey has taken his game to the next level playing alongside Harden in the backcourt.
Tonight, the Sixers will visit the Miami Heat on the second night of a back-to-back in what is a massive game in the Eastern Conference.
Miami tops the East, with Philly two games back in second.
Maxey has been rolling, and is my preferred option in this game. His prop line is currently at 17.5 points, a number he's gone over in five straight games.
In this stretch, he's averaging 25.2 points per game and 14 shot attempts per game.
Last night, Maxey went off for 33 against Cleveland, going 5 for 6 from three-point land.
It's the deep ball that has really caught my eye. His threes are rising. He's made two, three, four and five in consecutive games, and Miami's defense allows the fifth-most threes per contest.
With Maxey getting space thanks to the presence of both Harden and Embiid, he should continue getting his shots, and hopefully making them.
It's hard to ignore this recent surge from the young Sixers guard, and in a big game, I like the hot streak to continue.
Best Bet: Tyrese Maxey over 17.5 points (-115 FD)
