Doncic and Slovenia have had a hard time at EuroBasket so far this year. Although the Lakers star has been thriving on a personal level, his team was winless through the group phase, heading into their Sunday matchup against Belgium.

Fortunately for Slovenia, Doncic helped them get back on track with a victory.

On Sunday, Doncic checked in for 30 minutes. He shot 9-23 from the field, draining just two of his 11 shots from beyond the arc. With six free throws tacked on, Doncic finished the game with 26 points.

Beyond his scoring, Doncic came down with 10 rebounds and dished out 11 assists. His defensive showing was impressive as he snatched two steals. He was a +15 for the matchup.

Against France on Saturday, Doncic racked up 39 points while shooting 40 percent from the field and 40 percent from three. He was just shy of a triple-double, racking up eight rebounds and nine assists.

In the group stage opener against Poland, Doncic shot 50 percent from the field. He dished out nine assists and came down with four rebounds in 36 minutes of action.

As Doncic continues thriving through EuroBasket, the Los Angeles Lakers are getting another good look at their star guard, who they recently signed with a major extension.

The veteran guard landed the max extension, and will make $160 million across a three-year span. He’s estimated to make a little under $50 million in salary for the 2026-2027 NBA season. From then on, his salary will cross the $50 million mark through 2029.

Last year, Doncic played in 28 games for the Lakers. He averaged 28 points while shooting 44 percent from the field and 38 percent from beyond the arc. He also produced eight assists per game, along with eight rebounds per outing.

Doncic and the Lakers will fire up training camp in roughly one month.
