If it happened before 1950, and in some cases after that — no it didn't says NBA All-Star Tyler Herro.
On a recent livestream, the Miami Heat shooting guard shot down the idea that history is real. Telling Twitch streamer/seat sniffer Adin Ross and special guest N3on that he "doesn't believe in history" when asked if Wilt Chamberlain would be a top-five NBA player today.
"I don't even know what Wilt looked like, played like," Herro admitted, before conceding that he believed the former Philadelphia Warrior dropped 100 points in a game.

"You think history is a real thing?" the former No. 13 pick asked Ross who said "yeah."
"Nah, I don't believe in history," Herro shook his head. "No, I'm deadass. ... Nah, I don't believe in [the moon landing]. I don't believe in anything that happened before 1950."
"For real, like, how do we know?" Herro continued. "When did [Christopher Columbus] come to the land or whatever? They said 1492? ... See, y'all believe that [expletive]. I don't believe that [expletive]! I never read that [expletive] in school."
In fairness to Herro, Columbus didn't discover the Americas. Nor did he ever set foot on the shores of North America — although his explorations did blaze a trail for other Euro travelers to explore the New World.
With that said though, not believing in history is a pretty wild thing to say out loud. And it left fans wondering if he was serious or just trolling Ross' chat.
Either way Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game did happen. Which has been well-documented and verified despite there being no visual footage of the record-setting display.
