When it comes to where Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo winds up next season, everyone seems to bring up the Knicks or the Heat.
Not so fast, says NBA insider Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson.
First, we should acknowledge that a return to the Bucks isn’t out of the question. It seems unlikely at the moment, but this is the NBA, and moments change faster than a launched three-pointer.
But if not the Bucks, then where? Scoop mentioned several possibilities during a spot on NBA Sirius/XM radio.
He started by saying that if the Heat truly want Antetokounmpo, they’d probably have to be willing to surrender Bam Adebayo. That may defeat the purpose of a Giannis trade for Miami.
“So you look at teams that have more assets, like the Nets,” Robinson said. “Whether that’s tradeable assets, as well draft picks … I don’t look at the Miami Heat, or the Knicks just offering Karl-Anthony Towns as enough to bring in a player of Giannis’ caliber. I also look at teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves (as a possibility).”

Right now, frankly, it’s hard to say where Antetokounmpo could end up. But one thig we know for sure? The speculation and rumors will only increase the very moment the season ends.
