The New York Knicks are going all-in on winning the 2025-26 NBA Championship.
For 25 years, the New York Knicks were away from the Eastern Conference Finals. However, the Knicks finally ended their drought last season.
Unfortunately, the Knicks fell short of reaching the NBA Finals as they were eliminated by the Indiana Pacers.
Following the upset, the Knicks have made some key changes to their roster ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.
The dynamic duo of Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns is undoubtedly the most important piece on the Knicks’ roster, and that’ll remain the case for the upcoming season as well.
But to ensure that the Knicks’ lineup remains competitive, the front office re-signed Mikal Bridges to a massive four-year, $150 million deal.
In addition, the Knicks also convinced Jordan Clarkson to sign within two minutes. Yes, that’s all it took. Keeping that in mind, here are all the additions that the Knicks have made to their roster.
Clarkson was brought onto the roster to add more depth at the guard position. At the same time, Guerschon Yabusele is expected to bolster the center position.
All things considered, the Knicks have a more well-rounded roster than last season.
While most teams tend to part ways with their players during the summer, the Knicks have retained all of their key players from the 2024-25 season.
Instead, the biggest departure from the Knicks was of head coach Tom Thibodeau. Coach Thibs was sacked after the Knicks’ failure in the ECF.
After weeks of rigorous search, the Knicks appointed Mike Brown as the franchise’s new head coach. Brown is expected to take the team to the NBA Finals.
It’s a milestone he has already achieved in his coaching career, albeit in 2007, with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
