The Philadelphia 76ers are in the midst of an embarrassing 12-game losing streak. It will all be over soon, though, as the 76ers have just three regular season contests left.
With an end to the season in sight, head coach Nick Nurse appears to already be looking ahead to the offseason. On Monday, Nurse shared the health of the team's stars, Joel Embiid and Paul George, are the big concerns the organization has this summer.
"There's, obviously, a good number of them that need to get taken care of, get back to health, but obviously, [Embiid] and [George] will be the big concerns," said Nurse in front of reporters.
"Can they get back and get ready to go?"
George played just half the 2024-25 season, starting 41 games. Embiid dressed for 19 contests.
Embiid was in and out of the lineup throughout the season because of a left knee ailment. George dealt with multiple injuries, including knee issues, throughout the season.
Without both players for most of the campaign, the 76ers are missing the playoffs for the first time since 2016-17.
The Sixers' three All-Stars – Joel Embiid, Paul George and Maxey – all ultimately ruled out for the 2024-25 season. Maxey averaged a career-high 26.3 points in 52 games while leading the league at 37.7 minutes a night. https://t.co/dJS8oB3PNN

The 76ers own the fifth-worst record in the NBA this season. That positions the team to potentially earn a lottery pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Regardless of how the season ends, Philadelphia has clinched its worst record since going 10-72 during the 2015-16 campaign.
