Nuggets Make Unfortunate Announcement Ahead of Timberwolves Game
Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Nuggets are at home on Tuesday night as they face off against the red-hot Minnesota Timberwolves at Ball Arena.

Denver enters Tuesday’s contest amid a two-game winning streak but they have won just five of their last 10 games as their roster has dealt with multiple injuries over the last few weeks.

They will look to extend their winning streak against the Timberwolves, who have won seven of their last 10 games.

Of course, the Nuggets have lost six consecutive matchups to the Timberwolves including a blowout loss in early March.

Unfortunately for the Nuggets, they will be without two of their key players in Tuesday’s game as they try to snap their winless streak against the Timberwolves.

Ahead of Tuesday’s game, Denver announced that both Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. will be sidelined against Minnesota.

Murray has been ruled out due to right hamstring tightness that also kept him sidelined in Friday’s victory over the Utah Jazz.

With Murray out, Russell Westbrook should remain in the starting lineup where he has thrived this season.

For Porter Jr., he has been ruled out due to personal reasons and it is likely that Peyton Watson and Hunter Tyson will see an increased role in his absence.

The good news for the Nuggets is that Nikola Jokic is available for Tuesday’s game after he was listed as probable due to a lingering ankle injury.

Aaron Gordon is also available against Minnesota after Denver listed him as questionable due to an illness and right calf injury management and Christian Braun is also available.

With the Nuggets shorthanded, they will need others around Jokic and Gordon to step up if they want to take down the red-hot Timberwolves.

Fans can catch Tuesday’s matchup between the Timberwolves and Nuggets at 10:00 p.m. EST.
