Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green delivered a massive warning to the Oklahoma City Thunder ahead of their Game 7 contest against the Indiana Pacers.
According to the four-time NBA champion, the Oklahoma City Thunder must not take this opportunity for granted and get the job done, or they face the prospect of being one of the league’s what-ifs.
“They are supposed to win. The pressure’s all on them. I mean, Indiana coming out on a free swing, and they coming out playing loose…I wanna see what OKC’s going to do,” Green said in his podcast.
“If OKC don’t win this championship, they may never win a championship,” he added.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander vowed the Oklahoma City Thunder will be better in Game 7 after a lackluster performance in their Game 6 108-91 defeat yesterday against the Indiana Pacers.
“The way I see it is we sucked tonight,” Gilgeous-Alexander said via ESPN’s Tim MacMahon. “We need to learn the lessons, and we have one game for everything we worked for, and so do they. The better team Sunday will win.”
“Now, we didn’t play like it at all,” he continued. “That’s why the night went the way that it did. We got exactly what we deserved, what we earned. We have to own that.”
