As the LA Clippers and Kawhi Leonard situation unfolds, the New York Knicks and Jalen Brunson will be worried about attention being turned to them.

The NBA world was rocked to its foundation yesterday, as some shocking allegations were made by independent sports expert Pablo Torre.

Torre unearthed documents and claimed that Kawhi Leonard and the LA Clippers allegedly used a shell company to falsely endorse the superstar for $28 million, thus circumventing the salary cap.

This news has sparked outrage among many NBA fans, who feel that the LA Clippers and Kawhi Leonard should be punished for so blatantly flouting the NBA’s rules for years.

But now, it appears the Clippers and Leonard aren’t the only team facing punitive damage, as Torre might be turning his attention to another NBA side.

Pablo Torre hints at potential investigation into New York Knicks and Jalen Brunson

Pablo Torre made a guest appearance on The Dan Patrick Show in the aftermath of his recent investigation on Kawhi Leonard and the LA Clippers.

Torre revealed that several people have requested he look into Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks, given that the young All-Star gave up $113 million to re-sign with the team.

“My tipline has never been more used by enemies of Jalen Brunson. ‘Look into that one,’ as well as James Harden and all of those rumors from the past

“Well, look, how he arrived at the Knicks, this is where I have to defer to the reporting I may or may not do on this, certainly was interesting…

“That’s a pretty good deal for the Knicks, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself… It’s a bit of a tease.”

Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks have been on the wrong side before

This isn’t the first time someone has considered looking into the Knicks’ business practices, especially when it comes to their pursuit of Jalen Brunson.

The NBA investigated and found out that the Knicks engaged in recruitment talks with Jalen Brunson far before he became a free agent in 2022.

As a result, the Knicks were penalized by the NBA for tampering and were forced to give up their 2025 second-round pick.

But if it turns out that the Knicks tried to circumvent the salary cap rules to pay Brunson while still staying under the aprons, then the Knicks will face far more severe repercussions.
