When some felt Indiana was down for the count after Oklahoma City dominated Game 5, the Pacers had its own champion emerge again in the NBA Finals.
Pascal Siakam has been more than impactful in the playoffs.
The 2019 NBA Champion from the Toronto Raptors and three-time All-Star refused to let Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder capture the Larry O’Brien Trophy on Indiana’s home court. He showed out Thursday night in Game 6 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse with a crucial double-double in a 108-91 victory for the Pacers to force a Game 7.
“Spicy P” turned in 16 points and 13 rebounds on six-of-14 shooting from the field.
He recorded three assists and a block in 32 minutes, while holding Alexander to a series-low 21 points.
Siakam carried the weight with Tyrese Haliburton continues working back from an injury. He recorded a double-double in Game 1 of the series with 19 points and 10 boards in Indiana stealing the matchup, 111-110, at the Paycom Center.
Siakam is all in on winning a second NBA title and helping to bring something Reggie Miller came so close to.
Game 7 is on Sunday in Oklahoma City. Siakam is prepared to assist the Pacers to a championship.
