Paul Pierce doubles down on bold Dwyane Wade take

It may have taken a bit of time for former Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce to double down, but he's indeed done just that when it comes to his comments comparing his own career vs. Dwyane Wade's.

After Pierce initially argued that his career was better than Wade's on ESPN just over four years ago, he's opted to do so once again during a recent interview.

Pierce joined 'It Is What It Is' and made his argument without holding much back in the process:

"Put Shaq on my team, put LeBron and Bosh with me, I'm not gonna win one, you don't think? Me, LeBron and Bosh, we're not gonna win one? We're not gonna win a couple? ... He averaged more points than me career—I can shoot the three, I got the midrange, I can post-up, I can get to the line, who's a better scorer?" Pierce said.

The LeBron James and Chris Bosh argument is a fair one from Pierce, but it also looks at the comparison from more of a team perspective, which isn't really what this debate is. When comparing any two NBA players, the argument is virtually always focused around their play and overall accolades—Pierce's point isn't wrong in the fact that he'd win titles with those two.

But as Jalen Rose and Michelle Beadle broke down so perfectly the first time around, Wade is going to take the edge in the bulk of the bullet points made in this argument.
