Phoenix Suns 2025-26 projected starting lineup: A new era begins with Devin Booker at the helm

The Phoenix Suns blew up their roster this offseason and are looking to start fresh and build again around Devin Booker.

What was supposed to be the start of a dynasty for the Phoenix Suns turned into an unmitigated disaster, as their big three of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal failed to make a mark.

This summer, the Suns traded Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, and several draft picks.

The Suns used this year’s pick to select Khaman Maluach. And in a surprising move, the Suns also traded for Mark Williams on draft night.

With an entirely new roster around Devin Booker, the Suns are looking to begin their road back to being a contender once again.

2025-26 Phoenix Suns projected starting lineup

The Suns have a roster that definitely has some gaps, with some positions not being nearly as deep as other spots on the team.

This is what their starting lineup is expected to look like:

Starting Lineup Second Unit
Devin Booker Jared Butler
Jalen Green Grayson Allen
Dillon Brooks Ryan Dunn
Royce O’Neal Nick Richards
Mark Williams Khaman Maluach

With no starting-level point guard on the books, Devin Booker will have to fill in at the position once again, unless the Suns make a trade.

New Phoenix Suns head coach Jordan Ott will trust Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks to start, as they are the best players he has at both positions.

As for Khaman Maluach, he has the talent to be the Suns’ starting center for years to come. But he is going to have to earn his starting spot.

The Phoenix Suns must be ready to fight next season

While the Phoenix Suns do not have a strong roster when compared to the rest of the heavy hitters in the Western Conference, they have no choice but to try and compete next season.

The Suns’ front office wasn’t able to get back their first-round picks from the Houston Rockets, which means they can’t reap the benefits of a bad season.

The best-case scenario for the Suns would be to get a top-10 seed in the West and earn their way into the playoffs somehow.

However, given what their roster looks like, they will need some miraculous performances from Devin Booker and their other young stars to make that happen.
