Plenty of NBA execs, coaches have made way to EuroBasket

EuroBasket 2025 is not just drawing players. A number of NBA decision-makers have also been spotted overseas.

As Tas Melas of the No Dunks Podcast pointed out on social media, the list includes several big names. The Bucks are represented by general manager Jon Horst and head coach Doc Rivers, with assistant Darvin Ham also in attendance.

The Lakers sent a large contingent in Rob Pelinka, Jeanie Buss and Kurt Rambis. Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups has been seen, along with new Kings front office man B.J. Armstrong and coach Doug Christie. Nuggets president Josh Kroenke has also made the trip.

It is not unusual for NBA executives to use international tournaments as scouting opportunities. With free agency winding down and training camps still weeks away, EuroBasket provides a chance to evaluate talent and build relationships.

Expect plenty of networking along the way, too.
