Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic continued his dominant stretch with another strong performance in Friday’s 129-119 win over the Dallas Mavericks. He scored 35 points on efficient shooting and added 11 assists, five rebounds, and a block in 40 minutes.

But after the game, another moment stood out. Doncic and Kyrie Irving met at mid-court and performed their well-known handshake. They created the routine during their time as teammates with the Mavericks. The handshake is quite popular among fans online, and it symbolizes their strong bond.

Now on different teams, they continue to show respect and appreciation for one another. The NBA posted the clip of the handshake on Instagram, and the moment brought back memories of their exciting run in Dallas.

The game itself had several big performances from start to finish. Austin Reaves led the Lakers with 38 points. Anthony Davis returned to Los Angeles for the first time since being traded for Doncic and scored 12 points in limited minutes.

LeBron James hit a key late three-pointer to help secure the victory. Despite strong efforts from P.J. Washington and rookie Cooper Flagg, Dallas dropped its fifth game in six outings.

The Lakers will host New Orleans on Sunday, while the Mavericks visit the Clippers next.
