It was another disappointing ending to a season last year for the Milwaukee Bucks as they lost in the first round of the playoffs for the third consecutive season.
Of course, since winning the championship in 2021, Milwaukee has made it out of the first round of the playoffs just once, which came in 2022 when they were eliminated in the second round.
After another disappointing first-round exit, all eyes were on Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo entering the offseason as many expected him to demand a trade, which ended up not being the case.
Instead, the superstar forward has decided to stick it out in Milwaukee and the Bucks made some key moves this offseason as they waived Damian Lillard to sign Myles Turners while also signing Cole Anthony and re-signing Bobby Portis and Kevin Porter Jr.
With these moves, the Bucks are looking to make a run at a championship this season or at least make it out of the first round of the playoffs.
Despite this, if Milwaukee struggles early on, all eyes will be on Giannis once again as he could change his mind and demand a trade.
If that is the case, there should be many teams who show interest in the star forward and one of them could be the Toronto Raptors who have been linked to Giannis over the past season.
In a potential trade, the Bucks could send Giannis and Gary Trent Jr. to the Raptors in exchange for Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, Gradey Dick and multiple first-round picks.
Of course, if the Bucks send Giannis to the Raptors they could target one of either Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl, Brandon Ingram or Collin Murray-Boyles in return, though it is likely that Toronto would not be open to moving them.
Despite this, adding three key guards in Quickley, Barrett and Dick could be solid additions for Milwaukee, along with much-needed draft capital as they would begin a rebuild.
For Barrett, he would give the Bucks a solid scorer, defender and rebounder who has shown flashes of being a potential star if given the right opportunity.
Quickley would give Milwaukee a much-needed point guard who is a solid scorer and playmaker while Dick would upgrade their 3-point shooting while also giving them another young player to build around.
While this trade package could be a solid one for the Bucks, they may ask for more in return for their superstar forward and if Toronto is unwilling to meet their demands, another team may be willing to meet their asking price.
