The Golden State Warriors became the latest team to make major offseason moves just one day before media day.

Reports indicated agreements with several players including Al Horford , Gary Payton II, and De’Anthony Melton.

All signings, including financial aspects of the Horford and Melton deals, remain paused because Jonathan Kuminga’s contract situation remains unresolved.

The stalemate forced the Warriors to conduct media day without Horford, Melton, and Kuminga himself.

Quinten Post dismisses roster discussions inside Warriors team despite Jonathan Kuminga contract complications

The situation also complicated additional acquisition strategies, particularly impacting Golden State’s chances of signing Seth Curry.

Despite the roster intrigue and summer-long drama, Warriors center Quinten Post revealed minimal internal concern about the uncertainty.

“Within the team I haven’t really heard any chatter about it.

“We have full trust in our front office to get things done. We figure when the season starts we’ll have a full roster and be ready to go,” Post stated.

During media day, the sophomore player declined to discuss potential mentorship from Al Horford, despite their similar playing styles as stretch bigs.

Horford’s leadership and locker room presence could provide valuable guidance for Post’s development.

Quinten Post positioned for expanded role after promising rookie campaign

Last season, Post demonstrated potential as a rookie by averaging 8.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 40.8% from three-point range.

His shooting efficiency and floor-spacing ability make him valuable in Steve Kerr’s system.

Next season, Post will maintain an important role while providing backup minutes behind Horford at the center position.

His development becomes increasingly crucial if the Warriors want to maximize their championship window with their aging core.

The Warriors‘ roster situation should resolve after Kuminga agrees to one contract option, with current momentum strongly favoring a qualifying offer.

Once finalized, Golden State can officially complete their other signings and move forward with training camp preparation.
